The music video “Koldovat” is a visually rich piece situated at the intersection of contemporary music aesthetics and Slavic mythology, constructed as a sequence of striking imagery rather than a linear narrative.

  • Filming took place in a remote part of Karelia with virtually no infrastructure.
  • Some scenes were shot on the Ladoga Islands in the middle of Lake Ladoga. The location was only accessible by boat, with the journey taking around 40 minutes.
  • Production took place in highly changeable weather conditions: heavy rain would suddenly give way to sunshine, requiring constant adjustments to the shooting schedule.
  • The team had to arrange accommodation for 80 people in an area with a very limited number of suitable hotels.
  • All project logistics had to be built from scratch: transport, boats, catering, equipment, and props.

Fun Fact:

A cow had to be urgently replaced for one of the scenes. No alternatives were available locally, so we arranged transport from St Petersburg within a single day — by 6 a.m., the cow was already on set.
